My new paper has just been published:
Birkenkrahe, M. (2025). Truth Matters: Generative AI as Muse or Tool in the Research Process.
International Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering Research, 5(3), 7–14.
About the Article
In this piece, I examine how generative AI is changing the research process. AI is no longer just a convenience for automating routine tasks—it can also serve as a kind of “muse,” offering new paths of inquiry, alternative formulations, and conceptual reframings.
But it is never a replacement for human judgment. Instead, it challenges us to be more rigorous about evaluating claims, tracing assumptions, and understanding what counts as knowledge in an age of machine-generated output.
